Chocolate Chia Pudding
Chocolate chia pudding.
This one time, I had some leftover chocolate sauce (3 ingredients: raw cacao powder, coconut oil and maple syrup) from a cake I made and decided to turn it into chia pudding 🥄
I added some plant based milk (this time I used coconut milk- but I often use a combo of coconut and either rice milk or almond milk... I love the richness and consistency coconut milk gives to puddings...) to the choco sauce, poured in a good amount of chia seeds , stirred a number of times until I was sure that the chia seeds wouldn’t stick together and congeal in weird shapes (as they tend to do) and left in the fridge overnight (not necessary but I like it cold). I added some dessicated coconut flakes and red berries.
Besides being chocolatey and delicious, chia pudding is full of superfood nutritional benefits such as antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, protein , fiber and calcium (go dairy free !) 🌟
