A black lab, black waffles... what else?!?!?

A new recipe! ♠️♣️🖤

Ok, ok...so enough of you requested the complete recipe I used for these gluten free vegan charcoal waffles so here you have it...

I hope you enjoy. I also hope you give me feedback If you actually try out the recipe!

I love hearing what you guys think... 💃🏼🖤

Activated charcoal waffles ingredients:

1 1/2 cups gluten-free flour blend (I make my own with starches and rice flours... DM me for recipe!)

1/2 cup oat flour

1/2 cup almond flour

1 Tbsp cornstarch

1 Tbsp (aluminum free) baking powder

3 Tbsp raw coconut sugar

1/4 cup activated charcoal (I used @yourlixir brand charcoal...it’s the best!)

I large pinch fine Himalayan salt

1 cup full fat coconut milk

1/2 cup rice milk

1/4 cup cup melted vegan butter

1/3 cup aquafaba (usually the liquid found in a can of chickpeas but I used white beans this time. Same same.)

Coconut oil for cooking

Instructions:

Add the flours, cornstarch, baking powder, sugar and salt to a mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

In a small bowl, pour the aquafaba and whisk until its white and fluffy (you can use a stand mixer. Also, once in a while it doesn’t get fluffy for me. Results are generally the same 🤫)

In another bowl, stir in the coconut milk, rice milk and butter. Mix well.

Pour both the aquafaba and the other wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. DO NOT OVER BLEND. Let the batter sit 5-10 minutes and turn on your waffle iron. Wipe the iron with coconut oil and cook the waffles according to iron instructions.

Cook, serve and enjoy! 💃🏼⭐️♣️
