I make smoothie bowls nearly everyday. Most of the time they are green. When my daughter is around, they are pink (because she only likes strawberry smoothie bowls. BUT ONCE IN A WHILE I find frozen acai in the health food store and that's when we start to have some superfood fun in my kitchen.
This Sunday happened to be one of those days. I had some acai and I made this bowl. And guess what? My daughter tried it...and liked it! Despite the fact that it wasn't purely strawberries.
This #smoothie has:
1 frozen banana
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 handful frozen strawberries
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1 packet frozen acai puree
1/2 tbsp macqui powder
And that's it!
Instuctions: I blended all ingredients in my vitamix (but a high speed blender works just fine) and then I decorated it with blueberries, strawberry stars, raw cacao nibs, leftover blackberry sauce (from something or another) and some bee pollen.
All superfood goodness for a happy and healthy Sunday afternoon.
