The Journey. Tulum 2018
Tulum, Quintana- Roo, Mexico 🇲🇽
One of my all-time favorite quotes:
"Someday we will find what we are looking for. Or maybe not, maybe we'll find something much greater than that."
I don’t know who said it but I wholeheartedly agree. 👆🏻
And I tend to recall or repost this quote in some of the most difficult of times- as a reminder that maybe if we just accept where we are (despite it not being where we want to be), our journey will lead us to greater places.
However, today is going to be different. Today is positive. Today is bright.
I just spent about four days working in New York City and three unplanned spectacular days in #Tulum🌴 A place I had never been before: a #destination I wish I had known about 10 years ago- and a location I would have happily stayed for a much longer period of time.
Alas, I didn’t. And I couldn’t - and yet- I am extraordinarily grateful for the time I did have.
However- (I hope to be back. Sooner rather than later. 🙏🏻👙)
Between NY and Tulum, I found my happy place
And the best part? I wasn’t even really looking for it.
I expected to be somewhere else at this point in time, this age, this existence...I had plans for my life that have been so thrown off their tracks I don’t even remember where I was meant to be going.
But where I am? Well that place is really good. And I have a feeling it’s only gonna get better.
So my advice? At least for today...
STOP SEARCHING AND START LIVING.
STOP EXPECTING AND START EMBRACING.
STOP HOPING AND START DOING.
Take every opportunity that presents itself and as is said in Spanish: “Agarra la Vida por los Cuernos”- grab life by the horns- because we don’t necessarily know where we will be lead but with a little bit of magic and a LOT of positivity , it’s bound to be great.
Know that oftentimes- things don’t necessarily work out as we have dreamed- but they end up being far greater than our wildest imaginations...if we let them.
We create our own limitations- and most of those limits exist only in our minds.
So expand, align, and radiate joy- I promise you, it comes back two-fold.
Oh, and PS- this backbend here 👆🏻? 3 hours a week of Ashtanga, 3 Vinyasa and a bit of Bikram thrown in there. I plan on backbending well into my later years.... #yogaeverydamnday
