“Summertime is always the best of what might be.” -Charles Bowden
Isn’t it though?
Summertime is the season for us dreamers- the sunset chasers. It’s for the lovers, the carpe-diemers, and the adventurers.
Summertime is that season where we let our wild out and allow ourselves to believe in the dreams we’ve constructed in the corners of our imaginations.
These are the days, lazy and long- hot and ripe, where hope runs free and the best of what’s to come is upon us. They are the days we patiently wait for all year to arrive and then they pass us by in the blink of an eye.
As we are busy making plans- it is oftentimes forgotten to lift our heads, look up, and actually notice that these are the days- we are living them. They are upon us. They are passing us by.
And then, before we know it, summer will end. Our bikinis will be packed away into the backs of our closets, our tans will fade with our smiles, the evenings will become shorter, and that magical light at the end of each day will dim.
So live this: Today. Tomorrow. Right now.
Look around, Breathe deep, Smile. Be Grateful. #Summer comes but once a year. And truly, it is ALWAYS the best of what might be.
