Holiday Thoughts- and a Selfie

Tis the season...

‘Tis the season for long awaited endings and the promise of new beginnings...the season for breaking diets and making resolutions. The season for furry hats and (p)leather pants. The season for sparkles and sadness ✨

It’s the season for cake 🍰, for warm and fuzzies, lonely nights, snowflakes ❄️and feel-good playlists. ‘Tis the season for weeding out the bad and showing gratitude for the good 🙏🏻. It’s the time when we wrap up a full year while making the last few days count (because we never truly appreciate anything until it’s almost gone). ‘Tis the season for bundling up and breaking down. ‘Tis the season for shameless selfies in bathroom mirrors...Because when else are we gonna take ‘em. Right?

Whatever the holiday season may mean to you, remember that the end of one year and the beginning of a new one is a chance for us to reflect, to forgive, to share, and to love. It’s a chance to make a change or begin to think about making those changes we know we should be making. Now is the time for self acceptance- however we may be- at whatever stage in our lives we find ourselves... and to pay homage to how far we’ve come despite how far we have yet to go. (Hence the rare bathroom mirror selfie!) 🙌🏻

2018 is coming to a close- but it’s not over yet. So let’s try to make it count- to do our best to be our best and squeeze the last bit of life out of every minute left of this year- be it wonderful or scary.

How do you feel about that?

’Tis the season to be honest with ourselves.

December love,
