Goddess of Dawn (and a smoothie recipe!)

Reform. Growth. Renewal. 🙌🏻

“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”

-Rainer Maria Rilke

It’s Springtime. Springtime is a moment for growth and renewal- A time when new life comes into the world. The spring has also oftentimes signified the start of better times...which is good.

We like that. ☺️

This is the time of year when we become more open to inviting changes – both big and small – into our lives.

#change 💚

Globally in most cultural traditions, Spring is a time of re-birth and new beginnings.

And as we approach Easter (which is in about two weeks)- I wanted to take a moment to mention Eostre- the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, worshipped by some neopagans who associate her with various aspects related to the renewal of life. Eostre is commonly referred to as a “goddess of Dawn” based on the etymological meaning of her name and the Anglo-Saxon word for ‘dawn’. And #dawn , of course- is the sun rising over a new day. A new start. The beginning of something.

I’d like to think of myself, during this particular moment in my life, a bit like the #goddesses (or gods) of dawn.

And like a child that knows her poems by heart. ❤️

Also, This is me looking lovingly at a plant based strawberry smoothie:

A little dorky? Maybe. That’s ok. 💘

Sometimes it’s just about doing what you know is right for you.

Going back to basics. Leaving the rest behind.

As some of you have noticed (I received a decent number of “are you ok?” messages due to) my lack of social media activity lately- and I just wanted to say that yes, I’m fine.

I’m taking a minute to deal with some real stuff- stuff that’s frustrating, a bit annoying, distracting, and time consuming. And yes, #socialmedia is all these things as well.

Therefore, I made a choice and decided to pull back a bit- I will continue to do so until I have the bandwidth to fully immerse myself once again in my brand building and storytelling capabilities.

At the same time, I will continue to post recipes- because I will ALWAYS continue to cook (and blend- as I did with this delish #strawberry #smoothie pictured here).

Don’t worry.

I’ll be back. But for now- I’m focusing on my daughter, my health, and moving forward with my life after a long moment of standing still (and a few distractions here and there). Pink #smoothie recipe? Sure:

1 handful frozen strawberries

1/2 cup full fat coconut milk

1 frozen banana

1/4 cup filtered water

1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds

1 tbsp #ashwagandha powder

And love. Lots and lots of love.
