“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
This quote 👆🏻 came to mind today when I was looking at the photo of myself taking a photo of the Colosseum. #homesweetrome
I’d heard Eleanor Roosevelt cited numerous times before but today, it held a different meaning.
How do YOU feel about it?
I would love to hear your thoughts!
In the meantime, here is where I’m at:
Sometimes what you’re looking for is right in front of you...
And then, at other times, what you are looking for changes... somewhere down the line...without even noticing the shift. So when you finally arrive at your destination, it doesn’t feel like you’ve arrived at all and you know in your heart of hearts that you should have changed paths a while ago.
Hindsight is 20/20
The beautiful thing however, is that it’s never too late: never to late to change direction, find a new passion, work towards a different goal. The important thing is to allow ourselves space to grow- give ourselves the room to change. We must forgive our own mistakes when we’ve made them and move on with the knowledge that all we have done (good and bad) has brought us to where we are today... regardless of whether we will be here tomorrow or not.
If not, that’s ok too: I’m currently making sense of it all.
What I do know is that where I am now is exactly where I wanted to be - this was the life I had envisioned for myself and one way or another, I got myself here. 🙌🏻
Furthermore, it’s exactly where I’m meant to be.
On the other hand, I know that now, something else awaits... and I am at the beginning of a new journey : where what was once on the horizon will soon lay behind me- which is a beautiful concept in and of itself.
Now is the time to envision, plan, and create the future.
